What is a PDF to image converter?

A PDF to image converter is an online tool that renders each page of a PDF as a separate image file, usually JPG, that you can download and reuse. Students, professionals, designers, and marketers use it to place PDF pages into slides, websites, and social posts without installing software.

How the PDF to Image tool works

  1. Step 1

    Upload your PDF

Simply drag and drop your PDF file anywhere on the page or click Choose file. Files up to 100 MB and 200 pages are accepted.

  2. Step 2

Choose JPG or PNG and convert

Select JPG or PNG as the image format, then click Convert to start the JPG conversion.

  3. Step 3

    Download your ZIP file

Download your converted files with one click. Multi-page PDFs arrive as a single ZIP file with one image per page, so you don’t have to save pages one at a time.

Why use Eliten’s PDF to Image tool

  • A separate JPG image for every page

Each page of the original PDF becomes its own image, so a 6-page document gives you 6 files ready to drop into a slide, a website, or a design tool.

  • Choose JPG or PNG

JPG keeps files small for sharing and web publishing, while PNG uses lossless compression, which keeps text, charts, and logos crisp. Both formats are web standards: according to W3Techs data from October 2026, PNG is used on about 75% of websites and JPEG on about 69%.

  • Fully browser based

The PDF to JPG converter runs in your browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, and phones, with only an internet connection required. There’s no software installation and nothing to update.

  • Part of an all-in-one AI workspace

The tool sits alongside Eliten’s other PDF tools and AI text tools. Once your images are ready, you can keep working on the source document without switching apps or uploading it again.

Who the PDF to Image tool is for

  • Students

Turn lecture slides and readings into images for notes, flashcards, or class presentations.

  • Professionals & admin

Drop report pages and charts into presentations, emails, or internal wikis as images.

  • Designers & marketers

Export brochure and flyer pages for websites, social posts, and mockups.

  • Developers

Generate page images to use as document previews or thumbnails in an app or site.

Image quality, file handling & privacy

JPG images are rendered at 150 DPI, which keeps pages clear on screens and in most documents and slides. JPG uses lossy compression, so very small text and thin lines can soften slightly. Once a page is converted, its text becomes pixels and can’t be selected or searched unless you run OCR on it later.

Uploaded files are handled securely and are never used to train models.
